It was down hill after the aplication was taken.
Everyone droped the ball. No one called when they said they would. When they didi call me it was at home during the day, even thought it was noted in my file to call me on my cell because I WORK.

Bank of America now has my 5th mortgage - as a busy real estate professional, it's important to rely on a single point of contact to process everything efficiently. My husband and I recently needed to sell one home in Kingman, AZ prior to buying the one we really wanted. We, of course, were planning to go with the same mortgage lender we had used to buy the first home.
Our dear neighbor, thank goodness, had other plans for us. My husband ran into her one day and the first thing she asked us was "Have you sold your home and do you have to pay closing costs with your new loan?" He informed her that the answer to both was yes and that is how we found out about the new loan from B of A with no closing costs, commission or pmi.
The bottom line is we were able to close quickly, had a positive experience with the mortgage application process and more importantly, were able to save several thousand dollars!!! If it wasn't for one of your employees living near us we would never have know about this wonderful loan product..
I am pleased to share the wonderful experience we had getting the new loan with those who are in the process of financing a home. Hopefully they will find out about it before they go with a conventional lender and pay closing costs.

The local branch facilitated the process, which made the process more efficient. There was some confusion with underwriters and miscommunication, but overall the fees were upfront and accessible online. The local branch truly completed the transaction with ease. It helps to have a good credit score and history, which also expedited the process. I did some comparison shopping, but got the best deal with Bank of America. I look forward to expanding my portfolio. Thank you.

On at least eight ocassions I had to re-fax documents for a home loan. The loan officer was a total joke, as I would call and asked if they received the documents and I would be told no. Each fax had a confirmation sheet with a date and time that indicated the fax was received and I was told to re-fax the documents. I had the local bank officer send them Fedx and the loan processing center signed for the documents and I was still told that they had not received them. Bank America needs to examine their procedures and take correct actions as it is time consumming and costly to have to repeat sending documents that end up no telling where. When questioned the loan officer at the processing center said it was not their responsibility to pick up the documents from the fax as they have someone else that does it for them. The whole process was like a bad dream, each person spoken with pointed the finger at some one else for the failure to account for the documents faxed to process this loan. From start to finish it took over 100 days, and I almost lost the property because the seller could not understand Bank of America's failure to process the loan in a timely manner. The whole process needs to be reviewed, and the individuals held accountable for timely processing of loans. Some individuals in the process are totally inept and represent the bank in a poor manner and were just p[lain rude. If all B. A. employees were like the Regional Manager; who was the final individual that was contacted to get the loan processed, what an outstanding group B.A. would have. Two final words, NEVER AGAIN.

It could have been better but we encountered some problems with the appraisal so our application was turned down the first time. At the time of the first appraisal, our house was undergoing some major renovations so the house was in total disarray and much to our surprise the appraiser gave a much lower appraisal. Don't we get credit for doing major improvements that increases the value of our property? But we persevere and requested another appraisal. This time the appraiser considered those improvements that we made on the house and finally the property was appraised fairly. The only thing we regret is that we did not get the lower rate of 5.875 that was offered to us during the time of our first appraisal instead we got a much higher rate of 6.625 and paid more also in terms of points. Before we only had to pay like a quarter of a point but we ended up paying an entire point. All of this translated to us paying more in closing and incurring a bigger debt by $50,000 due to the increase in rates. In closing a loan or other financial deals time is of the essence. Our loan application got approved when the rates were considerably higher unfortunately. We have been a customer of Bank of America for several years now and we really want to keep doing our financial concerns all in one place but this experience did not help too much along this lines. In spite of this, we are still totally hooked with Bank of America because the bank has a lot of other good things going for its customers. One of which is online banking. Thanks for the chance to voice out my concerns as a customer. Go Bank of America!

I am most greatful to Bank of America for providing a mortgage loan for me. The process was pretty painless but my only concern was that all the paperwork and contacts were not locally handled. The communication process spanning many states from Florida to Texas was disconcerting and oftentimes uncomfortable.

I have had nothing but great experiences in my dealings with Bank of America. I have several opportunities to refinance my mortgage but have no desire to change lenders. Customer service is fantastic and the ease of the website make them a great lender for a first time purchaser to an experienced hosue flipper, the service is top notch.
